Beyond The Garden
Good Afternoon Bloggers
Hope you're all well and been enjoying the weekend.
We all had a lovely time in class yesterday which did not involve that much stamping to be honest yet we created a beautifull card and gift box set using the gorgeous beyond the garden papers and the beautifull wings embosslit die. We did a little faux stitching, using the mat pack and paper piercing tool to add a little more interest to the card.

Punch used: Modern Label

All About Flowers (Build a blossom & Manhatten Flower)
Good Morning All
Hope you're having a good weekend so far, I'm watching the clouds and living in hope that it's not going to rain today, however this may well be wishfull thinking but will water the flowers.
Yesterday we had a lovely class and it was all about flowers for both cards. The first of our cards was a "simple" pop up card using the Build a Blossom stamp set and punch. I say simple but that's because it only had one central pop-up element inside, to deal with instead of a few. This card did take some time to construct though with all bits used.
For our second card we used the Manhatten Flower embossing folder. We encorporated dry and heat embossing on this one using the vanilla embossing powder and then painted in the flower which is ever so pretty.
Take a look and let me know what you think.

Funky Forest and Trendy Trees
Good Afternoon Blog land!
Well, I'm afraid that it's a case of "better late than never" as they say. I'm running quite behind, been a busy, busy week or two and just not found the time to publish last weeks class pics.
We used a lovely little stamp set and wheel, one that everyone always remarks on as being a very sweet little two-step set, which indeed it is! It was absolutely perfect for our paper stack project!
We used the funky forest wheel around the edge of the paper-stack box and then used the Trendy Trees stamp set and the funky forest wheel alternately on each piece of paper. This little project would be perfect next to the telephone for those quick notes or numbers that we need to write down in a hurry. We also made a lid from vellum (you could use acetate to see through), so that it could be given as a little gift.
Stamp Set's used: Trendy Trees & Tiny TagsWheel used: Funky Forest
Punches used: 1" circle & Jewelry Tag

The Open Sea and Creative Elements
Good Afternoon all
Hope you're all well. I've been away for a while, went to Egypt for some much needed sunshine and returned to more rain in the UK! Great! I have my passport at the ready.............now where to go.
I could perhaps sail away on the gorgeous ship from today's more masculine, gate fold, card that we made in class today. Wow, what a gorgeous stamp set. Perfect for any travel adventure.
Our second card used Creative Elements, another beautifull set. This caused a bit of a stir in class as I told everyone to SMELL my card.............think they thought I'd gone bonkers! Nope, in fact we used some of the lovely vanilla embossing powder and although not quite "rights" for flowers, should maybe have considered the cherry one instead - it turned out very well indeed.

Fancy Flower punch, card in a box
Good Afternoon All
Hope you're all well and enjoying your weekends so far.
Today's class was a card in a box. Yip, we used the fancy flower punch and for that it's really nice if you're able to give your card away in a box made specifically for it to showcase the raised flower. Everyone really enjoyed making this card and each had their own specific use for it, one a birthday, one a wedding and yet another just for someone special. This made each card individual in the end, as the sentiment and placement of parts were all different.
Take a peak and let me know what you think:
Punches Used: Fancy Flower, Word Window, Modern Label, Bird Builder (for leaves)
Embossing Folders Used: Perfect Polka Dots, Vintage Wallpaper
Scoring Tool Used: Simply Scored with Metric Scoring Plate

Anniversary card and something a little British!
Good Afternoon All
Well, it's been a busy, busy week - been great but that's meant that I've not had the time to post last week's class makes till today!
We did two cards the first was an anniversary card, by request. I'm always up for doing something that any of my class members want to do. Makes it more interesting for me to see if I can come up with something suitable.
Our second card was something a little British and more suited for the weekend just coming up. The Queen's Diamon Jubilee weekend and boy is it going to be a good weekend, there is lots of Great British Spirit in our area with bunting and flags on many of the houses and pubs.
Take a look and let me know what you think:
Wheel used: Sandy Speckles
Punches used: Extra Large Bird, Modern Label
Embossing folder: Perfect Polka Dots
Other: from my stash
SU Die used: Top Note
Other: from my stash
