Funky Forest, craft class

Good Afternoon

Today is definitely a crafting day with the wet weather............boo, where's the sunshine gone!

We had a good class today using the Funky Forest wheel, the ladies had a bit of trouble lining it up along the stampin around wheel guide for some reason, although we've previously used the larger wheels this one seemed to be a bit of a struggle - all in all though everyone had a great time and with a bit of practice on a scrap of paper their cards and "match boxes" came out perfectly!!

A Rose is a Rose

Good Morning

Who turned off the natural heating??  Can you believe that our heating system came on this morning again, we're nearly in June!!!!

Thought I would show you a card using a beautifull stamp set, did this card at Jan's, my SU upline.  It uses two step stamping and the stamp-a-ma-jig, a brilliant little tool!  Some of the gorgeous new colour's are in there aswell as we used Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo...........dont they sound delicious?

Criss Cross card and Squished (folded) flower card class

Good Afternoon

Wow, what fab weather we're having in our County at the moment.  Gloriously sunny and warm, I almost feel like we need a swimming pool to take a splash in - makes a change!

Today was craft class again, it soon comes around but it's such great fun and I always look forward to the next one.  We made a criss cross card today which looks pretty complicated when you see one but it's actually quite easy and a wonderfull idea.  The other card that we made today was a more simple card with a squished flower.  Well it's actually a folded flower but you squish the card so that's more appropriate I think.  The look of horor and disbelief that it would "actually" turn into a flower after drawing a spiral on a square card was priceless but...........as you'll see, they turn out rather well.

You make my life a beautiful thing

Hello Everyone

Wow, glorious day here in Shropshire today, sunshine and warmth - lovely.

I was trying out this folded flower technique the other day, it's so simple and clever and along with a bit more Designer series paper looks stunning, a littl bit of dazzling diamonds for a bit of shimmer and we're away!

Vintage Vogue, Easel Card

Good Afternoon

What a lovely sunny morning it's been, just the kind of weather that you wish would last.

We enjoyed a lovely craft class this morning making an Easel card, these always look so complicated but are in fact very easy and enjoyable to make - they certainly do have the "wow" factor when someone receives them. Once again I went for the rose from the tutorial by Marlene, these are a little time consuming to make but absolutely stunning when finished and add a beautifull dimension to your cards.  We also did a little "milk carton" style box with a window again using the smaller flower in this stamp set to make the little rose on the carton.

Stamp sets used: Vintage Vogue and Cheer & Wishes
Punches used: 1" Circle punch, Eyelet border punch and Extra-Large Two-Step bird punch (for the leaf)

Sweet Treats and a bit of Rock and Roll

Good Afternoon

Are we heading into Spring/Summer???  At 3 degrees this morning it feels more like winter but luckily it's warming up for a lovely evening.........

Here's something a little different again to do with the gorgeous Stampin' Up! products.  The pink is two mini chocolate bars wrapped in some glorious pink passion card using A Beautifull Thing stamp set for layers and the mini blue is a little box of tic tac's using brilliant blue card and Garden Whimsy stamp set.  Here I've used the Rock and Roll technique whereby you use your lighter colour first over the whole stamp and then rock and roll the stamp onto the darker inkpad, just around the edges giving this lovely effect!  Clever.

Nature's Nest (craft class)

Good Evening

A very dreary day here in Shropshire today - just the right kind of day for a craft!

Today in class my ladies learned heat embossing, they'd not done it before and were amazed at the results achieved.  We had a bit of a trial and practice and after the ooooh's and ahhhh's we set to work creating two projects.  A card and a gift bag.  Really rust was the colour of choice which means that this card could be used for a man.............always a bonus!

Stamp set's used: Natures Nest and Circle of Friendship
Punches used: 1/2" and 1" circle punches

Vintage Vogue (Rose)

Good Evening

It was my friend Sharon's Birthday today and I saw a lovely tutorial early this morning on a fellow demonstrator's website, Marlene,  for a Rose made using the Vintage Vogue flower, so although I had another card in mind I swiftly made a card using this technique to make 3 roses and Sharon loved it!  Thanks Marlene. I used Champagne Mist shimmer paint to give the roses some sparkle!

Simply Said craft class today

Good Afternoon

Been a lovely bright morning here today, just finished with a wonderfull BBQ for lunch but now the clouds are coming over:(

Had a lovely craft class this morning, we used the simply said stamp set and full heart punch.   My SU upline Jan used this stamp set for her class last month to show what can be done using one stamp set..........so following on from that idea,  thanks to Jan,  I thought that I would give it a go, especially since I had not actually used all the stamps in this set (all in one go) myself.  This is what we came up with - a spinner card and another bright and colourfull card - everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and went home very proud of their projects having used every stamp in the box. We also used the stamp-a-ma-jig which was new to my ladies and they got along famously with it, I was very proud.

Stamp set used: Simply Said
Punch Used: Full Heart Punch
Accessory used: Stamp-a-ma-jig

Enjoy the long weekend everyone
