Scrapbooking!!
Good Afternoon All
Well, it's not often that you hear me say that word but yes we did some scrapbooking in class today. We did make card as a warm up and introduction to the world of papercrafts for my new lady today but then it was on to PLAY TIME.
Scrapbooking is such an individual thing but absolutely absorbing and enjoyable, so much so that when it was time for class to end - nobody noticed! I "prepared" or rather enjoyed a few pages myself as samples for class and I used one of the gorgeous 6" x 6" ring albums to keep my memories in, such super little albums and they can hold loads of pages.....................so watch this space, more scrapbooking could be on the cards.
Stamp set used: Butterfly Prints
Large Wheel used: Very Vintage
Punches used: Butterfly and Decorative Label
Album: Espresso classic 6"x6" ring
Stamp set used: Natures Nest
Punch used: Jewelry tag
Happy Scrapping!

Life is Beautifull
Good Evening
Well, yes indeed Life is Beautifull when you dont sew your fingers together! If you saw my last post you'll have seen that I bought a simple mini sewing machine for use with my card making projects, I dont sew. It probably took me about 1/2 hour to remember how to thread it and use it but thereafter I was on a roll and I love the project I've created.
Stamp set's used: Style Beautifull and Creative Elements
Punches used: Decorative Label
Embossing Folder: Square Lattice

Spiced Paisley Gift set
Good Evening All
Well, it's been a wonderfully crafty day for me today and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Just wish all days's were like that really. I've even purchased a mini sewing machine for my cardmaking projects you understand as I dont sew. My friend Elaine came with me and although she's convinced that she'll get me into sewing, I'm not so sure so a mini machine is perfect for me and I may even have a dabble with some of the gorgeous SU fabrics............who knows, there could be a budding seamstress inside me.
We had a fab class this morning, the class was full so there was much chatter going on which was fantastic, so much so that I'm surprised that any of the attendants found the time to listen to me at all, but they must have as they all left with two lovely projects in their hands and a smile on their face - who could ask for more from 2 hours on a Saturday morning?!
Stamp set used: Spiced Paisley
DSP: Spice Cake
Punches used: 1/3/4" scallop circle, 1 " circle and small heart
Embossing folder used: Perfect Polka Dots

Simply Adorned
Good Evening
I've been having a bit of a play over the last few days with some of the simply adorned products and WOW! They are gorgeous, individual and so versatile.
I've been playing with the Charming set and the Simply adorned charm 2.5 x 3.2cm along with some of the trinket keys, take a peak at the results. I certainly dont think that the photo does it justice.....you'd need to see it "in the flesh" so to speak...................then again, I could have changed it by then to create another individual piece.

Create a Cupcake and Valentines
Good Afternoon from a very snowy and icy Shifnal
Yes, that's a very odd sounding title of Cupcakes and Valentines but that's what we did today. Firstly we did a birthday card using the really cute stamp set Creat a Cupcake, a really pretty card with some flowers and a bit of layering - crisp and clean today for both cards actually. No distressing or daubing the edges of the cards, most unusual for me and my classes but I loved the outcome of both as did everyone at class!
For the Create a Cupcake card we did some embossing with two of the gorgeous SU embossing folders and made the flowers using the 1 3/4" scallop circle punch, done by cutting the scallp circle into a spiral, squishing the cardstock and then rolling up to form the beautifull flowers. The wording was shaped using the decorative label punch and then that same punch used as a layer behind, just chopping out a bit. Very clever and very good use of punches to make other things and create different effects.
Stamp set used: Create a Cupcake
Embossing folders used: Square lattice & Perfect Polka Dots
Punches used: 1 3/4" scallop circle & Decorative Label
For the Valentines card we did very little stamping but lots of punching and embossing. My husband might even be lucky enough to get a Valentines card this year and he'll probably not see it before then anyway as he does not usually browse my blog (to my knowledge anyway) or notice specific cards in my card stash. Besides all the SU goodies we used a very old pair of pinking shears that used to belong to my grand mother. I'm so pleased to have these to use again, my parents brought them over to the UK for me from SA on their last visit, by request and because nobody at home was using them, yayy!
For the inside of this card we used the same technique as the flowers of the first card (without the squishing) for the heart effect, attaching two hearts together forming a "spring" - very effective and unusual.

Embossing folders used: Vintage Wallpaper & Perfect polka dots
