Funky Forest and Trendy Trees

Good Afternoon Blog land!

Well, I'm afraid that it's a case of "better late than never" as they say.  I'm running quite behind, been a busy, busy week or two and just not found the time to publish last weeks class pics.

We used a lovely little stamp set and wheel, one that everyone always remarks on as being a very sweet little two-step set, which indeed it is!  It was absolutely perfect for our paper stack project!

We used the funky forest wheel around the edge of the paper-stack box and then used the Trendy Trees stamp set and the funky forest wheel alternately on each piece of paper.  This little project would be perfect next to the telephone for those quick notes or numbers that we need to write down in a hurry.  We also made a lid from vellum (you could use acetate to see through), so that it could be given as a little gift.

The Open Sea and Creative Elements

Good Afternoon all

Hope you're all well.  I've been away for a while, went to Egypt for some much needed sunshine and returned to more rain in the UK! Great!  I have my passport at the ready.............now where to go.

I could perhaps sail away on the gorgeous ship from today's more masculine, gate fold,  card that we made in class today.  Wow, what a gorgeous stamp set.  Perfect for any travel adventure.

Our second card used Creative Elements, another beautifull set.  This caused a bit of a stir in class as I told everyone to SMELL my card.............think they thought I'd gone bonkers!  Nope, in fact we used some of the lovely vanilla embossing powder and although not quite "rights" for flowers, should maybe have considered the cherry one instead - it turned out very well indeed.
