A Beautifull Thing Class

Good Afternoon All

Bit of a grey day outside today, so perrrrrrrrrrrfect for a bit of crafting this morning.

Had a wonderfull class this morning, all the ladies had a good time and enjoyed doing a bit of two-step stamping using the stamp-a-ma-jig.  We only used it for some of the card and handbag giftbag and the rest was a little more random.

Box card class (Happy Moments)

Good Afternoon

Had a lovely, busy, class this morning, quite a few techniques, heat embossing, masking, decoupage, using liquid applique, using a template........wow!  Never the less, we got through it all and finished with some beautifull results.

We did two cards, one was the box card using all SU products and the other was.............shhhhhhhhh, a Christmas card, yes I shock myself when I say that, the first of the year but at least now we're on our way.  For the Christmas card please pop over to my Non SU projects gallery and scroll down to the bottom where you'll see a teddy bear card (this is where you'll find the liquid applique).

Friends (Vintage Vogue)

Good Afternoon All

Hope you're all well, I've totally lost my voice, cant even squeak! I'm sure it will return soon enough.

Thought I'd show you a card that we did at my recent workshop, well a card and bookmark.  I love this set and the matching wheel both of which went down a treat with the ladies.  We did a bit of masking for the bookmark and even those ladies that had never stamped or heard of masking before did so very well - I was very proud of them all.

Vintage Vogue, Abstract card and tin

Good Afternoon

Had a fab craft class today, we made a card and a tin............well, we covered the tin and although I like to use my tins for storing my crafty bits and bobs, pens, bone folder, aqua painters etc in you could use it to give a gift in with a pretty piece of fabric and a lovely SU ribbon.  Both card and tin had an abstract feel to them.  After punching out a few pieces of card using the circle punches we then used it as a template to layer over another piece of card and roll the wheel over.  Thereafter moving the template down a bit and drawing the circles.  Really effective and just that little bit different.  A little faux stitching (far more my kind of stitching really) and we're done!

I find that we so often make a template and then dont use the "bits and bobs" that are left behind so we used up as many of the circles created as possible as accents on both items.  Take a look and if you have any questions I'm here to help.

Happy New Baby

Good Afternoon

One of my closest friends in South Africa has recently had a baby boy which once again gave me the opportunity to make a baby card, which I love doing.  I wish her and her husband much happiness.

I can sew!

Or maybe only so-so.........................

Good Afternoon

A little wet here this afternoon but truly, the garden can do with it!  Hopefully the sun will be out again tomorrow.

I was inspired to make a card by my crafting friend Alex, bearing in mind that it's a well known fact that my craft is Stamping and not Sewing.

Never the less I liked the look of Alex's card so off I went in search of some tread (something rather rare in this house).  I could have used Linen Thread but I wanted something to match my Very Vanilla cardstock! I went to visit the lovely Andie at Goldfish Crafts who patiently helped me out with a couple of skien's of embroidery thread - see learned a new word too...........no idea what a skien was either and probably still spelt it wrong!  I'm good at this sewing/embroidery thing as you can tell, not!

Hope you like my attempt!  I was happy with it in the end.
